2021 Holiday Pierogi Sale Returns to St. Mary’s

On Saturday, November 13, 2021, the Crown Point Knights of Columbus Cardinal Stritch Council 4620 will be having it’s annual Holiday Pierogi Sale just time for family gatherings in November and December.

Since 2017, the Knights of Columbus council of St. Mary Catholic Church has been selling dozens of packages of a frozen pierogi twice a year as their main fundraiser.  In the fall they offer all varieties of pierogi such as meat, cheese, potato and fruit filled for the holidays and the meatless varieties are sold at the beginning of the Catholic Lenten season around Easter.  The proceeds help Council 4620 meet yearly expenses and enable them the resources to help others.

The pierogi are made in Chicago by Alexandra’s Home Made Pierogi.

For the last two years, the Knights have been distributing pre-sale orders and selling pierogi to walk up traffic at the Lake County Fairgrounds with huge success.  This November, they will be in the south parking lot of their home parish, St. Mary’s Catholic church, 321 E. Joliet St. in Crown Point from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Pre-ordering and payment is available online on the Cardinal Stritch Council website at www.cpkofc4620.org/holiday-pierogi/ or by order forms distributed in the St. Mary mass bulletins leading up to the pre-order deadline of November 7th.  Order forms are also available at a number of locations around Crown Point.  For those who do not pre-order pierogi, there will be a limited quantity of pierogi available for purchase on Saturday as well, while supply lasts.
